sAs the coach, you will be responsible for:
- Timekeeping and Payroll; and
- Responding to Timekeeping and Payroll communications
The Office of School Wellness Programs will distribute CHAMPS funds to eligible schools via a Bulk Job Code to be used at the start of the season to support the Rising New York Road Runners program. The funding will compensate the school-based coach who supervises the program. Hiring documents and per session timesheets will be signed by the principal. The payroll secretary will collect teacher-coach documents (timecard and timesheets) to file on-site and process timesheets.
- The final approver of the timesheet(s) is the Budget Officer at the Office of School Wellness Programs. See RNYRR Payroll Guidance and Operations.
You must enter student attendance in the Program Manager App prior to submitting your timesheets to your payroll secretary. This will delay your check arrival or payment date for services rendered.
You must enter your timesheets promptly so that our team can approve them accordingly. We encourage you to submit your timesheets every 15 days. Do not submit them all at the end of the season.
All timesheets during the season pay cycles are to be submitted to your school's payroll secretary to be entered via Galaxy. Please keep posted on the select season dates for your work. Review an example of a winter program pay cycle schedule below.
